Hello, original poster here. Has any progress been made in figuring this out? It's been about 2 and a half months and I'm still having problems with pages hanging and not fully loading. I still check the guardian news site regularly to see if the issue is fixed as it is much easier to replicate the issue than Amazon.

To Baas, thank you for the post, but I believe you're describing an issue in the desktop version, I'm not sure if they differ from the mobile or how to apply that solution to the mobile version.

CAUTION:
By resetting your decisions all your former decissions will be deleted. So as always its a good idea making a backup of your settings via exporting them.
If clearing XSS choices solves the problem, please share the entire "xssUserChoices" section of your old backup export file - maybe we can spot the offending entry? Thanks.

Hello all,

as i struggled with the same issues and tried several fixes und workaraounds in vain.

At first i realised, the issue does not appear when amazon is opend via right click and "open in seperated window/tab". Once i entered the page amazon works perfect. :?

As this is not an option to tolerate i startet playing with the options in NoScript. To make a long thing short: i learned that the "Anti Cross Site Scripting"-function (XSS) causes my issues. Switching it off instantly solves the problem!

You can find it there (may be the wording in english is different, as i am using the german language installation, sorry for that):
Go to the browsers "extras" > Add-ons > Click on the 3 dots at the NoScript-Add-on > options > advanced > "Clean up suspicious cross-site requests"

CAUTION: Changing this option may be or will result in the loss of XSS-Protection!

SOLUTION:
To solved the problem i finally had to reset my xss decisions.
(Go to the browsers "extras" > Add-ons > Click on the 3 dots at the NoScript-Add-on > options > advanced > "reset XSS decision")

CAUTION:
By resetting your decisions all your former decissions will be deleted. So as always its a good idea making a backup of your settings via exporting them. As a consequence you now have to decide again about every XSS warning. But amazon will work again properly.

Thank you for that. I need to add, I made a mistake in two of my previous posts. The website that triggers this issue most easily is theguardian.com (news site) not guardian.com. Sorry for my mistake.

Since this seems to be a mobile-specific issue, I would move this thread to NoScript Mobile, but that section requires registration and you're posting as guest, so for now I've just dropped a shadow topic there in case that gets more attention to this thread.

Apologies for bumping this back up but this issue has been ongoing for a month now. The only work around to get the pages to load properly is disabling NoScript, which I would rather not have to do on a commerce site with personal info. I think I may have been a bit unclear in my first postings about the issue, I'll try to clarify.

Certain pages refuse to completely load when NoScript is enabled. This issue began about a month ago with version 11.0.6 I believe. It is easiest to replicate by going to theguardian.com (default NoScript whitelist) the blue line that appears under the address bar when opening a page never fully gets to the end and disappears like it should when a page is finished loading. Something similar happened before that was related to the about:blank page, could there be anything connected with that? (I have about:blank set as my homepage)

I'm not sure if this helps, but I'm using an android phone, Firefox mobile with NoScript, Adblock Plus, and HTTPS Everywhere add ons. All of which are the latest versions.

Again, apologies for posting about this once more.

It is this blue bar or line that appears under the url or address on mobile. It appears when you open a page and works it's way to the right and disappears when the page is completely loaded. Apologies for not being clear, I'm not sure what it's actually called.

Pages don't completely load, blue bar stalls near end.
Just what is this "blue bar"?

Sorry to bump this back up, but it has been about 3 weeks since noticing the issue on Amazon, but I'm finding it elsewhere too. Can anyone try to reproduce this: (might be easier than the Amazon way)

All current versions of Firefox Mobile, NoScript, and Android. Google "guardian" and tap to open the page. The blue loading bar stalls out and never finishes loading. FWIW, also have Https Everywhere and AdBlock Plus installed. Maybe NoScript conflicts with one of these?

It's not any one in particular. Usually go to books section, tap a category, and it usually occurs when I browse any of the categories. This happens whether I'm logged in or not.

Hello, since my last post I received updates to android, firefox, and noscript but this problem persists.

I noticed not allowing Amazon's SSL script to run seems to fix this problem, but takes much of the functionality of it away.

I also found that this happens when I try to view articles from theguardian.com using the standard noscript whitelist.

Usually happens when I go to books, then open a link or two in another tab. I have the current NoScript installed. I allow amazon.com and the SSL images scripts. Allowing the media script does not fix, nor does requesting desktop site.

If it's any help, with the updated version 2 weeks ago, I cannot remember the number, had this issue and caused almost all tabs regardless of site, scripts, or loading status appear on the tab preview as blank.

Like any particular page on amazon?

And if you update to the current NoScript?

And what domains at amazon have you allowed?

Hello. Since Noscript updated from version 11.0.4 about 2 weeks ago I have had issues with Amazon pages. Pages don't completely load, blue bar stalls near end. Happening mostly when browsing books. I disable Noscript and pages all load correctly. Is this a known issue? Using latest Firefox for mobile.
