Hi! Same problem here with latest Stable Chrome and updated NoScript extension.
I noticed that the first time I opened a Google Spreadsheet it worked fine, from the second time on it started with the usual "Still loading" message, that prevent all the interface to be used.

I agree with No Sheet user to add a whitelist in order to bypass in case like this.

thanks in advance

Same here. Problem is back.Tested with both stable and beta versions of Chrome, noscript being the only enabled extension

Code: Select all

NoScript 11.0.13
Chrome Version 79.0.3945.117 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Windows 10 Pro 1903 (18362.592)
Tested with no other extensions running, or lots - same problem.

Tried All scripts enabled, and also tried 'Disable Restrictions for this Tab'. So that should be pretty easy to find - how much code gets run when 'Disable Restrictions' is turned on?

If you can't fix this, can you put in a whitelist based on URL or something that will completely 100% totally bypass NoScript.

Please note, I'm pretty frustrated, this has been an issue for me for at least 4 months, and I only found this today; I didn't think it could possibly be NoScript because I was turning it off using 'Disable Restrictions', right?????

I have this problem still. Even when Noscript is the only extension enabled and I click the disable restrictions globally button sheets keeps "still loading". Only way to use google sheets is to disable the whole extension.

Chrome 79.0.3945.117
NoScript 11.0.13
Windows 10.0.18362

Same Problem here!

Chrome Version 79.0.3945.117
NoScript 11.0.13
MacOS 10.15.2

The only way to make GDocs work again is to disable NoScript :(

I'm having the same issue with latest Chrome + NoScript (11.0.6). Let me know if I can help with logs or reproduction steps

Good info. Thanks for sharing!
Christopher Fritz wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:32 am With 11.0.7rc1 on Chromium "Version 78.0.3904.87 (Official Build) Arch Linux (64-bit)", the "Still loading" continues to remain on Google Sheets. The tabs at the bottom of the screen do load, where with 11.0.6 they did not. Google Sheets remains unusable with NoScript installed.
This confirms it isn't just a problem with NoScript running in Chrome under Windows.
Christopher Fritz wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:32 am My personal temporarily workaround is to use Google Sheets in Firefox.
I'm disabling NoScript for the time being. What's really weird is I also run Chrome in a Windows 2008 R2 RDP session, same profile, same extensions, but no problem. It was exhibiting the problem previous to NoScript 11.0.6, but it's not anymore. Now I'm only experiencing this problem on my desktop PC at work.
Christopher Fritz wrote: Thu Nov 07, 2019 12:32 am I don't know what's going on with NoScript that's causing issues, but I'm definitely grateful for all the work the team's put into the extension, and continues to put into it, even if there are the occasional hiccups such as with Google Sheets right now.
I'm grateful as well. Giorgio and others here are very responsive and helpful. I'm not expecting anything from anyone. It would just be nice when this problem is resolved so that I can go back to using NoScript again.
