When I toggle the property and reload the page, Flashgot does show the download, but I'm finding that in that mode, the web page gives me no control over the video resolution - the control widget in the video box is gone. So if multiple resolutions are available, I don't necessarily get the HD resolution. Thus I'm still in a situation where I'm not offered the download I want.

However, what I did notice is that if I toggle the property back to its original value, and reload the page again to get the resolution control back, this time Flashgot offers me a bunch of ts files - I'm seeing like 1 for every 7 seconds of video. So I can then set the video resolution and use the "Flashgot media" dialog to download them all. I suppose I can then use ffmpeg to concatenate them? A bit painful.

One suggestion. I'm not sure why "Flashgot Media" needs both the capability to select files and check them with a checkmark. This is not very intuitive. I selected a bunch of files, clicked OK, and nothing happen. After a few more tries, I figured out I had to click int the checkmark column too.

Thanks. That does fix detection on xvideos. However, it also breaks higher resolutions on youtube from working with HTML5. So I guess I'll be toggling it back and forth in the foreseeable future. :)

Ah, try this...

Set, media.mediasource.mp4.enabled to 'false'.

(That's more convenient then what I posted above ;-).)

(Seems Mozilla changed the name of the Pref that accomplished what was mentioned in the other thread. That's not unheard of.)

Everything does not see the clips at
(Why, I wouldn't know.)

Though if you were to search the page source, you can find a textual link that should allow you to get the clip.

(Your link seems to be dead?)

URL: https: // www

View Page Source
Ctrl+F (Find) mp4
[you'll want the "text" link, not any hotlink]
[Two show up:
html5player.setVideoUrlLow &
No idea if there is actual "quality" diff, so just stick with the "High" links.
Then you'll want the complete textual URL string that's inside the parens, excluding the (') marks.
So, for me, currently:
Paste that into your Download Manager.
I don't think any referrer is needed.
{That link won't work for you, cause its generated when you load the page, so you'll have to do a mentioned to get "your" link.}]

Nothing after almost a week? I did check for other threads before posting such as this one: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=22138&p=84293&hilit=xvideos#p84293. The author of that one requested that it be closed, and it was. Moreover none of the advice in that thread worked. Setting media.fragmented-mp4.enabled: false didn't work (assuming it's supposed to be set in Firefox about:config - that wasn't clear) and full-screen'ing the video also had no impact.

That site's "sign up" engine rejects throwaway email addresses like mailinator ... so a tool like Flashgot would really be the best solution.

Trying to download video from this page, but it's not detected by flashgot:
(Above is an adult website, BTW)
