bizarre -- noscript kills gnome!

I just upgraded to gnome 10.04. I did a clean install, then copied my old home account over.
Right clicked the noscript icon and not only did the browser die, but my entire desktop session died, ended up back at the login prompt. Uninstalled noscript and reinstalled. same. Found that left clicking it does the same thing. I can left/right-click other icons down on the lower right of the browser window like 'greasemonkey', but they don't have any adverse effects. Disabled most of the other firefox plugins, but gnome killing behavior remains. Uninstalled noscript. Ran 'update' and 'locate noscript', there are no noscript files left in my home directory, it only found noscript files on my backup directory.
