Re: Pages not loading properly with latest update....

See if something here helps, http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopi ... 454#p12454.

(changing Preference item, & then further updating to latest #dev build)

Yes.

With that FALSE, it works fine.

Could you check if latest development build 1.9.9.13 helps (after reverting the preference to its "true" default value)?

Damn hard to reproduce, though. I couldn't yet :(

Just tried the latest development build, on a clean profile. No add-ons, no plug-ins. (except for Mozilla Default) Same partial page loading issues exist. I did try your suggestion to setting the noscript.checkHijackings about:config preference to false. that did fix the problems during that test.

That's extremely strange.
Could you try a shift+reload on that page (or clear your cache) and check if anything changes?

It stops when requesting "s.ytimg.com" which is allowed in noscript.

I don't use ZoneAlarm and made no changes whatsoever to the system. Are older versions available for download to make sure?
Alternatively NoScript AMO Archives.

Okay, tried with all add-ons & plug-ins disabled. No change.
Cleared cache & cookies - Both. No change.
Cold restart of Fire Fox under same conditions, no change.
Go Figure...
Heading home from work...will reconnect tomorrow A.M.
Thanks!

Also http://www.cnn.com home page. Other pages on cnn.com seem to work? Weird.

Tried clearing cache and cookies for cnn.com (as suggested in other thread) and no go. Set checkHijackings to false and page loads under .12 And of course loads with NoScript disabled.

Your blogs must be amazing reads in complex software hitting the real world. (and by that I mean web sites plus FF hitting 'us' smack in the face)
Thank you for NoScript

Works fine here without allowing anything. After allowed, it works fine too, just with more stuff.

Just had this happen:

I was only at .11 on this computer. Updated to .12 just now. On update, I did not get the (NoScript) update page at all. Instead I believe I got a new window with only a blank, URL-less page.

(Session restore would have kicked in reopening all my other windows/tabs.)

With .12 (purposely have not put in .13) just had http://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1 not fully load.

The page has stopped loading (i.e. no spinning avatar) but not all the content displays.
Looking at the page source, all appears to be there.
Refreshing the page, no change.

Though this did generate:

Code: Select all

Error: Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIWebProgress.removeProgressListener]
Source file: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml
Line: 390
Image

Refreshing the page again, no change.
Dragging the tab into a new window & then the page did load properly.

PS: I had first successfully logged into gmail, logged out, then immediately attempted to log back in with a different user/pass. It was at this point that the page did not load (display) completely.

In the new window, the successfully loaded page URL is http://mail.google.com/mail/?shva=1#inbox (note the #inbox).

(I was probably making an addition to above post as you were posting. Will try .14 in a bit.)

Maybe it's a timing issue?

Trying to duplicate, but not able.

EDIT: That was 'trying to duplicate, but not able' - with 1.9.9.12.
