Unable to post images in forum to illustrate my issue

Post by gracious1 »

I have attempted to include images on a recent post so I could show the developers the trouble I am having as it is a UI issue.

However, I was thwarted because when I tried to post or preview I got this error message:
Ooops, something in your posting triggered my antispam filter...
Please use the "Back" button to modify your content and retry.
:o :?:

It was even more frustrating, however, because then when I hit "Back" I got a notice that the document had expired, so I lost everything I had typed. :x :x

I don't know what is going on. Here are the URLs for the images I was trying to post:

Code: Select all

https://s6.postimg.org/e5xqb13xt/NS_PM_statusbar_button_issue.png
https://s6.postimg.org/wzo4l6jnl/NS_PM_statusbar_button_normal.png
I got the same error messsage when I tried to post thumbnails:

Code: Select all

[url=https://postimages.org/][img]https://s6.postimg.org/z2tyfp1yl/NS_PM_statusbar_button_issue.png[/img][/url]

[url=https://postimages.org/][img]https://s6.postimg.org/7gvs8603h/NS_PM_statusbar_button_normal.png[/img][/url]

Next time, just PM your post to an active Mod (currently me, GµårÐïåñ, therube, or Thrawn) and we'll try to post it for you. PMs to forum staff are not spam-filtered, and the spam filter is more lenient on us.

This is why I use Form History Control.
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

The problem was mixing [color] bbcode tags and URLs in the same post. The antispam rule tries to catch attempts to conceive links.

I'm not sure I understand this. I used color to emphasize something in another sentence, and then I use URLs to illustrate the problem. It would never occur to me that I can't use color text in the same post that includes a link. What is spammy about it?

Unfortunately this combination has been frequently seen in bot-spammed posts where the background colour was used to make SEO-parasiting links invisible to human moderators, therefore it went as a rule in our automated antispam filter. Nothing personal.
