Regular password changes?

Post by Verdun »

Is there any way to stop forum software from regularly changing my password? I prefer one easy for an old coot to remember, not a complex one to defeat the TLAs....I consider a 13 character password for this forum to be overkill. This is the second or third time my password has been deleted or changed, and I had to get a new one from the system, which always gives me a complex one. I then change it back to the old one, and within a week to a month, the process repeats.

I don't think our forum software does anything like this. It certainly isn't doing that to me.

If you're not manually typing in the login, maybe check your password manager?
*Always* check the changelogs BEFORE updating that important software!

I see, "Password: Must be between 6 and 30 characters.".
