[RESOLVED] Move blinking icon to navigation bar

Postby serpep » Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:15 am

Hi all,

if there is a downloadable video on the web page, Flashgot is blinking in the status bar.
I would like to have this blinking thing in the navigation bar.
Is this possible and if yes, how?

thx
Stephan

The FG blinking movie icon indicating a detection that can be downloaded is dynamically generated and has no way AFAIK to be added to a toolbar by default. There are hard hacks to do it, but I don't think its worth it.

Did you try just using the "Customize toolbar" right click command and dragging it there while it's visible?

I was actually going to suggest that but I wanted to test and see if it would actually work first, and I was in the process of locating a test video to do that. Will post back if it works or not.

Ok, confirmed that while the icon is present, if you do customize and grab it and put it somewhere else it will stick there. This avoids the harder manual hack. However, a few things. 1) If you clear the list, the icon disappears, poof gone. BUT, 2) when you detect another item later, it will show up and stick to the new location it was put, so that would work for you then. Try it.

WORKS!

Not exactly what I ment, but defenetly ok!
I now have the FG icon in my navbar, the origin idea was only the blinking one...
But again, works and fine for me.

Thx
