Slickdeals Oddity.
slickdeals.net not allowed.
i would open, http://slickdeals.net/.
then open a link into a tab, http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=2642705.
the link opens, but there is a blank area (around) where the message text should be, with the text "pushed" down a bit further on the page.
and links cannot be clicked (at least in the first post, didn't check others), & hovering them does not show the href.
i'm thinking this is something slickdeals purposely did to entice you to enable JavaScript (so ads or the like work).
enable JavaScript, & the page looks & works as expected.
i'd seen this a number of times over the last number of days.
today I think, what if, what if it is NoScript. so i open a new Profile (no NoScript) & manually disable JavaScript. slickdeals looks & works as expected. aha, NoScript! so i install NoScript & with slickdeals.net not allowed, the page still looks & displays as expected?
back to my original Profile, I toggle slickdeals.net allow/block a number of times in succession, & now i cannot duplicate it? (will try after a session restore restart, but not today.)

Smells like either cookie-related, or the site changed in the meanwhile.
