NoScript Blocked

Post by DaveHi »

Hi All

Sorry if this is common knowledge, however, it is the first time I've come across it.

Followed a link from Twitter only to be blocked as Java not enabled. NoScript is mentioned as likely cause!

Haven't seen target site as decided if they insist on Java I will insist on not visiting ;) . Source is reputable so should be quite safe to visit with normal precautions, should you wish.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dave. As you surmised, cpalead online surveys are pretty common. Like you, if I have to enable JavaScript just to see where I'm being sent, I won't bother visiting it either.

Java not enabled
JavaScript not enabled. (They are different.)
NoScript is mentioned as likely cause!
Using NoScript is one method of blocking JavaScript. So in that respect, it may be the cause.

Setting NoScript | Options | Advanced -> Untrusted => Forbid META redirections inside <NOSCRIPT> elements may help on sites like that. (Could be browser version dependent & could also depend upon what functionality the site offers while still having JavaScript blocked.)

Again, JavaScript, not Java.

don't confuse Java with Javascript, DaveHi. the two are completely different things.
