Reloading the broken tab doesn't fix it.

Bug in the unsandboxing code: while JavaScript gets enabled back when document changes, plugins, subdocuments and meta-refreshes are not.

The rule seems to be right because there is no restriction for maps and gstatic but ends in an incomrehensible behavior on google maps.
