[FIXED] NS 2.1.0.2 breaks redirection in FF3.6.16

Post by shuttleman58 »

I've run into a problem that seems related to the most recent NS release. When it is installed and active in Firefox, the browser redirection is broken. For example, if I type bestbuy.com it should allow the site to send me to http://www.bestbuy.com but instead I get a blank white screen. If I click on http://www.cfmediaview.com/lp1.aspx?v=6 ... 98_19560_8 from an e-mail then I get a new FF window (I have set all new "window" requests to go to a new tab in FF) and it is blank. Submit the same thing in an address bar and it fails with a white screen. In some cases, a redirect link will display a message from a web site about the page being redirected and wait for me to click through.

I tested the latest development build and it did not help. I reverted to NS v2.1.0.1 and the problem disappears. If I disable NS from the FF add-ons window, the problem goes away, too. Simply "globally disabling NS" from the right click menus does not help. I've tried to study the error log and have yet to find a clue as to what is going on. I've also tried disabling any other add-on that might interact with the web site address and that did not help. For now, I have reverted to 2.1.0.1 since the problem seems to be NS specific.

Thanks for a super add-on. I cannot imagine online life without it.
