Hello I am looking for help from someone more knowledgeable then I regarding issues with NoScript. The website www.sunnewsnetwork.ca is not loading videos for me. I think it is being blocked by NoScript however it may be another add-on. Currently the area where the video displays is just blank. I am not sure which permissions would need to be allowed or how to trouble shoot this problem really. Currently this is the only site I have had trouble with getting video content to load/display. I have tried fixing the issue myself but have not had any luck.
Any help would be appreciated. If you need more information feel free to let me know.

Re: Need help unblocking videos @ sunnewsnetwork.ca
I can confirm this issue. After allowing sunnewsnetwork.ca and canoe.ca, I get lots of "ReferenceError: googletag is not defined" errors and this:
I guess a surrogate script would be needed to fix this, but I have no idea what it would be...
(And disabling NoScript does make it work, so maybe I'm just missing something. I didn't dig through my Untrusted menu except for trying allowing googletagservices.com, and that wasn't enough to get it working.)

Re: Need help unblocking videos @ sunnewsnetwork.ca
This site has a large list of permissions and I have tried messing with it but I have not figured out which ones are required. That is about as far as my knowledge will take me. Is there a way to click where the element is to find some clue as to what add on is blocking it or which script(s) are there? Normally its a google.apis and 1 or 2 more possible 3rd parties but I have yet to have a video show for me no matter what i do.

Re: Need help unblocking videos @ sunnewsnetwork.ca
Ok so I allowed all scripts on the page and it still didn't work then I disabled ghostery and it started working. So I can just start working backwards with the permission in NoScript and forbid the unwanted ones.

Re: Need help unblocking videos @ sunnewsnetwork.ca
I have Disabled all scripts except the following. canoe.ca, ajax.googleapis.com, brightcove.com, sunnewsnetwork.ca. I enabled Ghostery and found the brightcove script it was blocking and it is now working with all add-ons. brightcove.com seems to be the player. Problem solved.
Noscript was not the problem.
This has been bugging me for awhile I either never thought it was ghostery or had missed some scripts on my previous attempts to fix the video player on this site. Ghostery's interface has been updated a few times recently and has been improved so it is much easier to see what is being blocked now.

If you disable NoScript, does it work?
If not, then something else has got ya.
With these sites, it works:
It could be that not all of them are needed ?, but you can work through that to get the minimal set. You may have to Allow site1, before site2 comes up, ..., but its relatively easy to get the clip working.

Re: Need help unblocking videos @ sunnewsnetwork.ca
Apparently for me, marking brightcove.com as Untrusted was what borked the video. (And facebook.net doesn't need to be Allowed to make the site work.)therube wrote:With these sites, it works:
