I didn't get the clip to run in SeaMonkey (& NoScript) (?), but it did play in IE, & from there it looked to be coming down via RTMP & FlashGot is not able to see RTMP.

Works for me, on both Fx 11 and (to check legacy compatibility) on Fx 3.6.28.

Must allow, or TA, news.yahoo.com or fr.news.yahoo.com,
yimg.com
yahooapis.com.

If RequestPolicy is installed, must allow requests to yahooapis.com.

The one linked was no longer available, but it just kept playing Yahoo news videos in some pre-defined order (in French, of course).

IDK anything about FlashGot per se, being here mainly to do NoScript support, but I did get them to play on Firefox + NoScript.
Perhaps with that information, therube can get them working on FlashGot?

@ therube: If you need any more specifics, let me know, thanks.

OK, finally had a few minutes to get Fx 12.0 (on a flash drive for now), and the video that is linked,
"Hollande: "Il y aura un seul débat entre les deux tours"
plays fine, with the same permissions.

I think this video just had time-out issues before, as the connection was a bit slow.

Yeah, it's working now without issue, fired right up.
When I tried yesterday, all it did was give that "spinning" indicator, & nothing ever showed up.

And yes, RTMP, so FlashGot is not going to see it.

Code: Select all

(Even Net Transport isn't downloading that one.)

And yes, RTMP, so FlashGot is not going to see it.

Regardless of any FF version.

So you'll have to try an alternate means of capturing it.
Net Transport didn't work.
Possibly Orbit Downloader?
Or some other utility outside of "mozilla" that can handle RTMP.

Wikipedia lists some open-source tools that support RTMP and run on Windows.
The open-source command-line tool rtmpdump is designed to play back or save to disk the full RTMP...

There appear to be legal issues in the US, but assuming that the French implies "Not in US", there shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know if FlashGot can work with that, but at least the video can be saved, apparently.

Perhaps one of those will help. Good luck, and let us know.

Thanks, RTPMdump with RTPMexplorer (a GUI of RTPMdump) have worked just fine :D , but unfortunately, despite it support RTMP, Orbit downloader doesn't seem to work
