Make Permission change reload that tab ONLY

Post by Jasong222 »

Hey folks-

I did search for this topic and didn't see anything... apologies if this is a repost.

Currently - When you allow or temporarily allow a site, NoScript reloads the open tabs that reference that site.

"What doesn't work for me" - is that often I'll have many tabs open, and I don't want to reload all of the pages (browser resources, videos I may be watching but are paused start over from the beginning, sometimes the (newly allowed) site is potentially dodgy and I'm 'testing' it on the current page, etc.)

My suggestion - If it's technically possible, have NoScript reload the current page only (as default or as changeable option). That way I can reload the other pages only if necessary.

Thanks!

Correct. It is done by: about:config | noscript.autoReload.allTabs;true

Feature already exists, nothing new.

Jason, go to about:config and set the following setting noscript.autoReload.allTabs;true to false and that way the reload will only affect the tab you are on and not the others, that work for you? Set it back to true and it will go back to updating all tabs.

Jason, thanks for at least searching the forum -- most don't even do that, and we appreciate it.

But I just now went to NoScript FAQ, which has a direct link at the very top of the Board Index, did a "Find" for "reload", and immediately was taken to FAQ 5.2, which says exactly what GµårÐïåñ said. Total time: less than ten seconds.

Not chastising or singling you out, so please don't take it that way.
Only trying to say to *all*: There's a lot of stuff in the FAQ, the NoScript "Features" Page, and the various sticky posts that save you, the user, a lot of time in posting and awaiting a reply.

Cheers,
