Re: How popular is NoScript?
all I can tell is NoScript is quite popular on most security software forums, and is more and more considered as a security solution of its own, almost on par with anti-virus and firewalls The level of security reached in Firefox when NS is installed has just no equivalent.

Re: NS and (Sun) Java current vulnerability
Java 1.6 update 20 is available >>> update from the control panel applet, otherwise that won't remove the 19 version (many java versions can be installed at the same time ). Not sure if this update solves the security flaw. download here: http://www.java.com/en/ but again, better off with the integr...

This functionality is about as useful and sensible as the ability to run local executables from PDFs. It's probably a good idea to disable this plugin altogether. I have...

The vulnerability is caused due to an input sanitation error in...

Re: AV and other security tools available from Microsoft
Hi Polonus and the others ;) running Avast 5, not much to complain about so far (as to the AV components). As said the FP issue was a one time issue, and happened to 99.99% of other Av companies. I was lucky to be offline when it happened with Avast and online again when the issue was corrected. Con...
