... I think I heard sometime in the past that this was doable with NoScript. I can get that with some extensions in Chrome, i.e. block Facebook and twitter etc... on non-FB and non-twitter sites. Any clue how I can obtain the same results with NS? thanks
edit: using the ABE interface?

Re: LastPass security hole (cross site scripting)
okay this is all very interesting, I guess you won't mind if I link to this thread from lastpass forums. One big issue as you can imagine is that many users, and this includes me, switched to LastPass out of frustration with Google Chrome password manager... no need to go into the details here it's ...

Re: LastPass security hole (cross site scripting)
ps: on a side note for those reading this thread, I wanted to add that obviously the issue (XSS) may occur exclusively when accessing your lastpass account directly on lastpass website. The use itself of the lastpass plugin represents no problem whatsoever. Not sure about it, where did you read thi...

Re: LastPass security hole (cross site scripting)
okay thanks for the feedback, I had no doubt that NS would be the ultimate protection against such attacks ;) ps: on a side note for those reading this thread, I wanted to add that obviously the issue (XSS) may occur exclusively when accessing your lastpass account directly on lastpass website. LastPass security hole (cross site scripting)
this is just a copy/paste of a message I just posted on Avast forums, after reading a few reports. Not sure if all this has been mentioned here already... anyway: lastpass cross scripting vulnerability revealed: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/03/01/password_management_site_xss_bug/ https://grepul...

just to confirm that the dev build solves the problem, keeping "ABE" enabled.

Re: youtube and facebook video doesn't work
okay just to report it: videos don't expand in Google news as long as ABE is activated, i.e. as soon as it's off the issue is gone. minefield >>> http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/fantome_02/newsinfirefox.jpg chrome >>> http://i349.photobucket.com/albums/q389/fantome_02/newsinchrome.jpg

Re: facebook network issue... on third party sites
okay thanks I admit that I never used ABE before, so this should be a good start.Giorgio Maone wrote:http://noscript.net/faq#qa8_10

facebook network issue... on third party sites
don't get it wrong, this thread is not about any issue with NS and Facebook, it's about thousands and thousands of sites connected to Facebook. The problem is that many of these sites are connecting to FBCDN.net, and the new behavior is to trigger the opening of a second tab when launching the site,...

Re: Opera 11 to support Extensions - NoScript?
there was already a script blocking extension available when 11alpha got released yesterday. Not bad for a beginning, even if just based on white/black list... okay that's basic but better than nothing.

flash player issues on FF4 with NS and AB+
...yeah this is new to me, I'm running the latest minefield build and some videos wouldn't run at all with either NS and/or AB+ (latest versions) enabled. In my case I had to disable both to get a video playing, as reported here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=604420#c46 https://bugzil...
